The Fairy Land of Asia – Changbai Mountain in Northeast China

The Changbai Mountain in winter is the perfect combination of ice and fire. Changbai Mountain sits in Jilin Province, is one of the famous mountains in China and also the most popular destination for China tour packages in winter. As the small peaks surrounding the main peak are all shaped from the eruptions, after the thousands of years they all turned to be groups of small mountains, and the most famous is the Changbai Sixteen Peaks.

In hearts of local residents, these sixteen peaks are the incarnations of gods. Local people told me the story after a drink of wine, the third son of Dragon King in East Sea stole a pearl of the Queen Mother in heaven, the Jade Emperor assigned 16 gods to arrest him, and they fought above the Changbai Mountain, and the pearl dropped on the top changed to be a pond of water, it is the Tianchi now, and the third son of the Dragon King changed to be a monoclonius hiding in it, and the 16 gods responsible to seal this bad dragon.

The legend is miraculous, but what more mysterious is the natural landscapes of the 16 peaks. Baiyun Peak, the first of the 16 peaks, shaped from pieces of light volcanic pumice. Come from ancient time, the grain tier upon tier is full of vicissitude and smooth. The top of great momentum in Baiyun Peak is always enveloped wispy cloud, and rare times to see its real feature in one year, and people all think it is the greatest honor to see its face, and I am the lucky one.
