Huge Changes in Chinese Mountain City – Chongqing

Chongqing is famous because of top tourist destination - Three Gorges. Owing to the Three Gorges projects, Chongqing becomes the fourth municipality directly under the central government and the largest municipality in the world. As all cities in China, Chongqing is changing, more modern and more bustling.
I thought Chongqing is more like a magical sprint lover, from the stage of disqualification to the world famous star in the field of sport during short time, even have chance to be compared with the Shanghai, the modern international city.

The change of city

The tour guide said the circum of the Monument of Liberation gathers the functions of business, shopping, leisure, tourist, catering and entertainment, the visitors flow rate is about 330,000 every day, even more than 1,000,000 in holidays, is worth the name of China Top Ten Landmark Commercial Districts.

Passing through this city, the old houses in Yuzhong District has nothing left, the old style binding buildings only left some, and tall buildings and mansions instead of them completely. The famous mountain city depending on mountain and river has fewer the layers of the mountain terrain. The hills have been stepped under the new tall buildings, only the obstinate ones still keep half of ridge and also feel wronged. The Nanan District and the Jiangbei District also do not show the weakness, everywhere close to bridge and road is covered by the row upon row of buildings. Overlook in the higher place, the style of new Chongqing does shocks all visitors, especially I. The river clearly circles a big modern city. My companion said the present Chongqing likes the Hong Kong in 1970s and 1980s, I smiled, he is also influenced by the sights.
