Among many tourism favorite destinations in the world, China is the popular and famous one. There have the magnificent Great Wall, ancient royal palace Forbidden City, the exotic Summer Palace, Terracotta Army and others. In this large area of China with the largest population in the world, there also has rich of beauty, not only in Beijing or Xian. Those beauty and fascinating destinations outspread in the other area in China. One of the beauty and worth place to enjoy is Gulangyu Island, stunning island which located near Xiamen, Fujian Province.
With warm weather, good quality of air, no pollution, stunning beach, and relaxing life style, Xiamen is one of the delight places to visit in China. Most of the tourists who come to Xiamen will also have a short visit to Gulangyu Island. From Xiamen airport, visitors could reach the port for about 30 minutes. At port, visitors will be able to rent motor boat or boat to Gulangyu Island. From the port to the island, only need 7-10 minutes, a very near distance. Actually, government could build a bridge connected to the island, but to keep the island nature and original, they did not built it till now.
Because of that beauty, the island which located in the south part of China have attracts a lot of locals and tourists to come each day. The island has many hills and old shade trees, with exotic architecture of the building and villas, offers such a stunning views and quiet peaceful atmosphere. If we are looking far away from Xiamen, this island which has a total area of 2 square kilometres will also looks very calm. Especially at night, the light of lamps in the island seems like bunch of crystal in the center of beauty black velvet, very charming.
Beside that beauty and stunning beach, Gulangyu Island has also known as an old city. There have many buildings which have varies old building architecture that will amaze visitors who come here. Those old buildings are some former colonial buildings that had used as offices building, residential, school, stores, hospital, and church which still standing good till now.
Gulangyu has also become the favorite places for a lot of couples to make their pre wedding photos. Each year, will be hundreds couple memorize their best moment there. Another unique that also the island have is visitors cannot ride their vehicle, motorcycle or car. Because of that, inside the island there have no pollution, less noise, so Gulangyu,this beautiful island conveys its quietly and harmonious panorama beauty to every visitor.
