Top 3 Famous Attractions in Shanghai

As one of the most famous international cities in Chins, Shanghai attracts large numbers of tourists from both home and abroad. Here we collect 3 most famous attractions among tourists.

Shanghai Museum

Covers an area of 38000 square meters, Shanghai Museum is one of the most famous museum in China. The exterior design of the round dome and the square base symbolizes the ancient idea of a round heaven and a square land. With rather archaic flavor, the exterior of the museum utilizes the shape of an ancient bronze ding. The structure and materials of the entire building, however, are use of modern technology.
The Shanghai Museum is mainly used for display ancient arts. Also, it exhibit material both within China and abroad. Shanghai Museum has 11 galleries and over 120,000 historic artifacts. Its style and presentation surround visitors with artifacts demonstrating ancient wisdom and philosophy.
As a Chinese saying goes, it is better to see for oneself than to hear many times. Shanghai Museum welcomes visitors to see and enjoy Chinese culture.

The Bund

The Bund is a famous waterfront and has been one of the most recognizable architectural symbols and pride of Shanghai for hundreds of years.
The Bund has been called a 'museum of international architecture' and indeed it was and still is. But it was also much more. Before the 1840s, the Bund was a muddy narrow lane with tall reeds. Now many attractive new constructions have been erected in addition to the historical buildings. It was the centre of the politics, economy and culture of Shanghai, consulates of most countries and many banks, businesses and newspaper offices were settled there, and that's why we have these art-like buildings.
When you tour in Shanghai, you will find people come here to do exercises every morning and they come to appreciate the view with their loved ones in the evening.

Jade Buddha Temple

Jade Buddha Temple is a Buddhist temple in Shanghai, China. This famous Jade Buddha in the temple is believed to have been brought by Buddhist monks from Burma and installed it during the 1800s. The temple was destroyed during the revolution that overthrew the Qing Dynasty. Fortunately, Jade Buddha Temple was re-built in 1918 after being overthrown by the Qing dynasty. During your Shanghai tour, you can find rare paintings and ancient Buddhist writing in Jade Buddha Temple.

All of these attractions are very famous, I suggest you’d better have a look around of them during your Shanghai tour.
