Different campus has different beautiful view, making it different from others. Some make people feel like walking into an ancient capital, and some make people entering a fairyland. Here I would like to introduce well-known lakes in universities of China.

Dushu Lake of Soochow University


Just a small fresh water lake, Dushu Lake is located in the south of Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province, near Soochow University. Covering an area of about 11.52 square kilometers, Dushu Lake boasts clear water and beautiful scenery. As one of the biggest lakes in Suzhou, you should not miss it if you are touring in Suzhou, China.

Daming Lake of Shangdong University



Situated in the center of Jinan city, Daming Lake is one of city’s natural and cultural landmarks. The lake is fed by the artesian karst springs of the area and hence retains a fairly constant water level through the entire year.
Daming Lake is one of the three must see sightseeing in Jinan city, Shangdong province. Also known as the Lake of Great Light, Daming Lake is a natural lake formed from many springs.
Covering an area of 460000 square meters, there are six islands in Daming Lake. Flowers, trees and other plants are flourishing amongst the various pavilions.
In summer, lotuses bloom uninhibitedly filling half of the park with its fragrant scent. For the exceptionally natural and man-made scenery, many festivals and activities take place here every year.

Tangxun Lake in Wuhan University of Science and Technology


Surrounded by the Meinan Mountain, Tangxun Lake boasts a beautiful natural sightseeing. While visitors watching this charming scenery, they also could taste the fish balls which is one of the new snacks in Wuhan.
Famous as the first holiday zone in China, Tangxun Lake features the culture of totems, with fishing pools, swimming pools, Mongolian yurts, manmade waterfalls and bridges. In addition, Mnay activities related to totem culture are held here. 

East Lake of Wuhan University


Covers an area of 33 square kilometers and built in the ancient style of Chu state, East Lake is the largest city lake in China. East Lake is also named “a lake with 99 bays” for its winding banks and crisscrossing ponds.
East Lake is not only famous for its charming scenery but also boasts incredible entertainment facilities. 

Shahu Lake in Hubei University


Shalu Lake is the largest natural lake in Wuchang district, and it boasts lush willows and sparkled lake. If you come to visit it in the morning, you will find there are lots of students reading near Shahu Lake. While if you come here in the evening, you will discover that its enchanting scenery attracts lovers dating here.
